Experience the incredible panoramic vistas the coastline has to offer by following the ANZAC Memorial Walk or The Bathers Way Walk, which follows the coastline from Nobby’s Beach to Merewether Beach. Explore the array of sandy beaches and take a dip at the ocean baths or iconic Bogey Hole. Newcastle is home to many events throughout the year and our properties in Merewether are the perfect location to take them in. The iconic Merewether Beach is home to the international surfing competition, Surfest. It is part of a beach reserve that stretches from Dixon Park in the north to Burwood Beach in the south – with superb views in all directions. Enjoy a coffee at a beachside café and watch as locals walk their dogs, parents juggle caffeine and kids with sandy hair and the surfers’ roll-up by the dozen. Walk a bit further down the beach promenade, and you’ll find Merewether Ocean Baths, the largest Ocean Baths complex in the Southern Hemisphere. Merewether Beach is the southern end of the popular Bathers Way walk.

On your doorstop is the fantastic Hunter Valley with not only an array of vineyards but events, hunter valley gardens for all the family, local produce outlets galore as well as stunning hinterland scenery. The Hunter is famous for its Chardonnay, Semillon, and Verdelho for the whites, and Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot for the reds. Explore the stunning shorelines and National Parks of Port Stephens as well as marinas, micro breweries, amazing bays and beaches and the beautiful Tomaree National Park.The stunning shorelines of Anna Bay, Fingal Bay and Nelson Bay await. Thrill-seekers can enjoy a sandboarding or quad biking adventure and make their mark on the sprawling sand dunes.
